Some Facebook users are seeing a new "Questions" feature today, according to AllFacebook. The new feature allows users to ask their friends questions in a format similar to Yahoo! Answers or Quora (a product created by ex-Facebook employees). If you have the new feature, your friends' questions will show up in your sidebar, right above the ads.
It's not really clear whether questions will appear in your activity stream, too, or whether they're relegated to their own box. So far, I've only seen screenshots of questions in the sidebar. AllFacebook notes that we also don't know whether Facebook plans to monetize this new feature somehow, and that it's kind of a low blow to directly compete with Quora, a product Facebook's former developers created.
