Here is a comprehensive list of vehicles available in the Philippines that are presently sourced from China.


BYD - a Chinese car manufacturer, has initiated car sales in the Philippines, offering a diverse range of vehicles that includes a small hatchback and a compact SUV. However, the company has recently undergone a transformation in its product lineup, shifting its focus towards electric vehicles (EVs). As stated on BYD's official website, customers can now place orders for electric BYD models like the Tang, Han, Dolphin, Atto 3, and T3.

Changhe

There is an undeniable connection between Changhe and BAIC, as these car brands have mutual ownership stakes. In the Philippines, the Changhe MPVs available are actually BAIC vehicles. The Laus Auto Group is the official distributor of Changhe in the country and operates a dealership in Pampanga, primarily showcasing the M60 MPV.


Changan

Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc. (HARI) has made a transition from selling Hyundai passenger vehicles in the Philippines. It is now recognized as Changan Motor Philippines, Inc. (CMPI), the authorized distributor of Changan vehicles in the country. The Changan lineup offered by CMPI includes the Alsvin sedan, as well as the CS75 Plus, CS35 Plus, all-new CS55 Plus, all-new UNI-K, and all-new UNI-T crossovers.



Chery

Chery was among the pioneering Chinese car brands introduced in the Philippines, gaining popularity with the well-known Chery QQ in 2007. Presently, the brand has made a comeback in the country through a new distributor and an updated range of crossovers known globally as the Tiggo series. Chery currently offers the Tiggo 2 Pro, Tiggo 5x, Tiggo 7 Pro, and Tiggo 8 Pro, which now includes a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) variant as part of its efforts to promote electrification.



Chevrolet

In the Philippines, Chevrolet offers vehicles sourced from either South Korea or the United States. While most of their lineup is not sourced from China, the Bowtie brand previously sourced its Sail subcompact sedan from China, although that particular model has been discontinued. Presently, Chevrolet Philippines imports their Tracker crossover from the People's Republic..


Geely

Geely is widely recognized for playing a significant role in the resurgence of Chinese car brands in the Philippines. By offering high-quality vehicles at competitive price points, Geely successfully entered the list of top automotive brands in terms of sales in the country. Geely's current lineup in the Philippines includes popular models such as the Emgrand, Azkarra, Okavango, and the highly sought-after Coolray.

Foton

Leveraging its renowned status as a manufacturer of dependable commercial vehicles and heavy equipment, Foton Philippines ventured into the passenger car segment with notable success. Their TransVan, Traveller, and Toano vans, along with the Thunder pickup truck and Toplander midsize 7-seater SUV, have garnered significant popularity. Foton vehicles are further reinforced by the robust performance of their US-designed Cummins power plant, which is synonymous with reliable diesel engine technology.



GAC

GAC Philippines has recently undergone a relaunch under new leadership. Astara Philippines, the distributor for Peugeot in the country, has taken over the reins of the Chinese brand. With this relaunch, GAC Philippines now offers a lineup that includes the GS3 small crossover, GS4 compact crossover, GN6 MPV, along with the newly introduced Empow sports sedan and the all-new GS8 midsize crossover.




Haima

Haima stands as one of the enduring Chinese car brands in the Philippines, with a presence through 11 dealerships across various provinces. Haima's present lineup features the 7x, S7, and the flagship V70 minivan/MPV.


Kaicene

Kaicene, operating under Berjaya Philippines, Inc., emerged as a relatively new brand after undergoing a name change from Changan. Berjaya Auto Asia, Inc. serves as its distributor, offering the Honor S passenger MPV and CX70 SUV, both priced affordably, as part of Kaicene's lineup.


JAC

Departing from its traditional focus on trucks and commercial vehicles, JAC has expanded its presence in the Philippines by introducing a range of passenger vehicles. JAC PH now offers an impressive lineup that includes the S4 compact crossover, S2 small crossover, T8 pickup truck, and X200 commercial van, catering to a diverse range of customer needs.

Maxus

Combining a British heritage with Chinese manufacturing, Maxus made its debut in the Philippines in 2019, introducing the G10 MPV and V80 passenger van to the market. Since then, the brand has expanded its lineup by including the T60 pickup truck and subsequently introduced the technologically advanced and competitively priced G50 MPV and D60 crossover, further solidifying its presence in the country.


MG

Morris Garages (MG), a British brand currently owned and manufactured in China, has proven to be a prosperous Chinese-sourced brand in the Philippines. MG has achieved notable success and has established itself as one of the top-selling vehicle brands in the country.

In the Philippines, MG offers a range of vehicles including the MG 5 and MG 6 sedans, as well as the ZS subcompact and RX5 compact crossovers. The brand has also introduced newer models such as the ZS T and HS crossovers, along with the GT sports sedan.

Weltmeister

Weltmeister is an emerging Chinese electric vehicle (EV) brand that has gained attention in the global market. The brand focuses on producing and offering electric vehicles with advanced technologies and features. As of my knowledge cutoff in September 2021, Weltmeister has not officially entered the Philippine market.
