Install Adobe Flash Player on Jelly bean

About a month ago, we’ve reported that Adobe will no longer release new versions of their Flash Player for Android 4.1 aka Jelly bean. But all is not lost as folks from xda.developers brings us that app into our Jelly bean devices.

Some people might not have been that affected by Adobe’s announcement because they think that HTML5 is the way to go, but for those Flash-dependent Android users it’s a major blow to the gut.
Luckily devs from XDA has come up with a rather simple way of marrying Jelly bean and Flash Player together. With a bit of know-how and good understanding on how to follow simple and detailed instructions, you should be able to manually install Flash Player 11.1 on your Jelly bean device.

Note: As always, YugaTech will not be held responsible for any damage that these procedures will cause to your smart phone. Good Luck.
1. You need to have any File Browser (File Expert, Astro File Manager, etc.) installed on your device.
2. Download Adobe Flash Player 11.1 apk here
3. Download Dolphin Browser HD 8.5.1 apk here. We chose this because it supports Adobe Flash Player.
4. Copy both files to your device and install each of it using your File Browser
5. Open Dolphin HD browser, navigate to browser setting (Settings > Web Content > Flash Player) and choose between On Demand or On. You can also do this during the initial setup.
6. That’s it! You now have Adobe Flash Player 11.1 on your Jelly bean device.
A fair warning though before you get all too happy about it, this is not tested by Adobe, thus it may not run at its optimal performance. But based on experience after using it for almost an entire day on our Google Nexus S running on Jelly bean, we were pretty pleased with it.
