If you're thinking about buying a subcompact sedan, you might want to consider the 2023 models. Toyota and Honda are expected to release new versions of their Vios and City, respectively, but Nissan is not to be outdone with their facelifted Almera.
The Almera recently debuted in Thailand, and it could make its way to other markets soon. The exterior updates are similar to the American Versa, with a new front grille and a smoother bumper. The interior design is mostly the same as the current model, but the mid and high-spec versions have a new black and blue two-tone option.
The Almera has also made some significant improvements in terms of tech and safety features. All Thai variants now come with six airbags, a tire pressure monitoring system, lane departure warning, and high beam assist. Higher trim levels also have wireless charging and Android Auto.
Under the hood, the Almera retains its 1.0-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine with 99hp and 152Nm of torque. While the manual transmission option is no longer available in Thailand, the CVT remains an option.
