P8,599 Nokia X3 Touch and Type out now

This just in: Nokia Philippines has officially outed the future of the feature phone, the Nokia X3 Touch and Type. It's now available for free with Globe at Plan 999 (or P8,599 for the unit only) with 5 free days of SuperSurf.

the X3 Touch and Type combines the best of both the physical and virtual input worlds. It sports a regular alphanumeric keypad for dialing and typing, and a resistive touchscreen display for everything else.
Our initial impression is quite favorable especially since the mobile phone is unbelievable easy to use. Everything is zippy and responsive, thanks to the optimized Series 40 OS.

Also making an early appearance is the Nokia C3 Touch and Type. It's essentially the same with the X3 except that it's encased in a sexy stainless steel body. The SRP is still undetermined although Nokia Phils. portfolio manager Mike Smith says they're looking at the 10-11k range or "hopefully lower".
Both will be available in Nokia stores nationwide this November along with the optional USB attachment that lets the phones read flash drives via the file manager.
