2011 AUDI A8: OVERVIEW

VEHICLE HIGHLIGHTS

The 2011 Audi A8 lineup is redesigned. This is Audi's largest, most-expensive sedan. Returning are regular-length A8 and extended-wheelbase A8 L versions. So far, Audi has confirmed a 372-horsepower 4.2-liter V8 engine that teams with an 8-speed automatic transmission. We anticipate sporty S8 and diesel-powered TDI models may be added to the A8 lineup, possibly for the 2012 model year. Audi's quattro all-wheel drive is standard. Audi's MMI (Multi Media Interface) system adds touch-screen control for certain functions. Available safety features include ABS, traction control, antiskid system, curtain-side airbags, and front- and rear-side airbags, as well as front knee airbags. Front- and rear-obstacle detection, keyless entry/engine start, blind-spot alert, lane-departure warning, night vision, and adaptive cruise control are among the expected available features. We have not yet tested the 2011 Audi A8.
